I am an MPhil candidate in Modern South Asia Studies at the University of Oxford, supported by the Chandler-Ott Graduate Fellowship. In January 2026, I graduated from Wellesley College summa cum laude with a B.A. in History.  

My academic work explores the intimate dimensions of history. I am particularly interested in how people expressed ideas about gender, religion, and belonging under colonial rule through letters. I believe these records can reveal something strikingly modern: how people understand themselves and one another when familiar ideas about identity are tested by crisis.

Beyond the university, I create video-essays on YouTube. Each video is a "letter of exploding curiosity" — an open space to reflect on history, poetry and friendship. Through personal storytelling online, I seek to bring humanistic inquiry beyond academia and into everyday public life.
